SPALECK GmbH & Co. KG builds conveying and separation technology used for recycling metals, wood, and batteries. Thanks to IoT technology, service engineers can already monitor SPALECK systems via multiple sensor channels, such as vibration signals.
aiXbrain shall extend the IoT platform with artificial intelligence to enable early detection of potential problems and causes of downtime.
The joint goal is to provide service teams and end customers with the best proactive machine monitoring to prevent unexpected failures and downtime.
First, Dataray® AI for Predictive Maintenance has been activated on the IXON Cloud Marketplace. Through the IXON Connector, the Dataray plug-in seamlessly integrates with SPALECK’s data and dashboards on the platform.
A combination of statistical methods and SPALECK’s domain expertise was used to identify relevant historical training data. A semi-supervised drift detection model was then trained and now continuously monitors live data streams.
The AI results are visualized in dedicated dashboards, and in critical cases, automatic email alerts proactively notify the service team.
To enable continuous learning, users can easily flag and relabel incorrectly detected or missed data segments within the dashboards.
With Dataray® AI on IXON Cloud, SPALECK has found the ideal solution to monitor all deployed machines intelligently and proactively. End customers benefit from faster response times and timely repairs, helping them avoid costly downtime. SPALECK boosts customer satisfaction and optimizes its spare parts management.
SPALECK uses Dataray® AI as SaaS app on the IXON platform. The app and the AI were configured together with aiXbrain.
